CINDIANA STONES

The Kansas District Kid's Camp is rapidly approaching and the Children's Pastors have been working hard to make this fun and transformational for our kids. The couple who usually plans kids camp had to step back after she suffered a severe stroke and we are all so thankful she is doing better. When the children's pastors learned of the tragedy we came together to make camp happen... and I have to say, I am having so much fun with this. Each of us came to the table with basically the same idea... some sort of a kingdom or castle... and before long, we realized shortly before camp began, a new movie would hit the box office that fit right into that theme... Indiana Jones. And oddly enough, at the time we picked the theme, we had no idea what the subtitle would be... "the kingdom of the crystal skull." So after months of planning, brainstorming, and a lot of laughter... we came up with "Cindiana Stones" a girl who was searching for a Kingdom... not of a Crystal Skull... but a Kingdom that is upside-down, and different from what the world would expect. We want to teach our kids that the Kingdom of Heaven is not so much about what we get or have but instead about who we ARE.
